Breeding & Stud Services
Our trail horses are bred for their unmatched graceful gait and great equine manners. We start young horses to establish good habits. Our stables offer custom breeding options so you can "build your own horse".
Horse Sales
We might already have the perfect horse for you. Russ will match you to your dream horse. Before you breed or stud a custom horse, there may be one that is your perfect match here in our stables.
Boarding
Russ Thompson Stables offers boarding and the best of care for your horses at both of our beautiful stables. Contact Russ for more details about each location.
Mutual Trust Training
Here we train horses for the safety of the horse and the rider. We start with the basics. We address potential fears or habits of both the rider and the horse to perfect not only the gait and performance of the horse but also for potential distractions.
Troubleshooting Behavior & gait
We start our new babies from birth with Russ' gentle hand to earn their trust and start with good habits and behaviors. However, Russ specializes in troubleshooting gait and behavior in all ages.
Championship Quality Training
Russ is an award-winning trainer. Russ' years of experience in training have earned Russ numerous awards including trainer of the decade and indictment to the Walking Horse hall of fame, among others.
Show Training
Russ Thompson Stables specializes in training horses of all ages to ensure proper behavior, manners and gait habits. Russ specializes in world championship quality training. All show training will be done in our beautiful Shelbyville, Tennessee stables.
