Russ Thompson Stables is a full service training facility for the Tennessee Walking Horse, and the home of the world’s highest quality championship horses.
Russ Thompson is not just another trainer. He has over 50 years of experience in training and showing these beautiful horses. Russ' passion for the Tennessee Walking Horse started when he was just a young teenager in Alabama on his grandfather's farm.
After doing well at a show in California, Russ was asked to train for another showman and since has gone on to win many awards and work successfully with many other horses and riders.
Russ Thompson now works with the finest quality in Tennessee Walking Horses and strives only for the best quality.

Extraordinary Experiences
Russ made history training and showing Gen's Armed & Dangerous by winning the 1st World Grand Championship in all divisions in 1994.
He has since worked with other championship quality horses and riders, sharing his talent and knowledge in the Tennessee Walking Horse industry.
